Application Log in BOPF

Hi,

I have a custom BO created for me...and i want to realize application logging for the same.

Now i understand that for logging i have to use the BO /BOFU/BASIS_APPLICATION_LOG and use the action ADD_BOPF_MESSAGES in the header.

I am trying to create an instance of LOG BO in transaction BOBT, after adding the Object and sub-object if i try to save the instance the following error is shown.

Since this is a custom solution i would like to know how exactly i can realize application logging.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
